This web site has been developed to foster communication between our fellow Crouse
relatives and add to our knowledge of our past. Through exploring our past and
understanding our present, we can then shape our future.
The Crouse history and tradition is rich and in today's extremely mobile society
the art of story-telling has all but disappeared. It is hoped that this site can
provide the continuity and focal point to recapture The Crouse Family History
before it is lost to our ever-changing fast paced society.
The site revolves around the lineage of Melchior Crouse (1709). I have chosen Melchior
as a starting point because he is the first Crouse known to come to America via the ship
Friendship in 1739. The names on the left are my lineage, but I will be happy to post all
other Crouse's if I recieve the information.
Please send in any infomation on Births, Marriages or Deaths related to the Crouse's
so the Crouse Family Records can remain current. There are several Crouse's who have
expressed an interest in having a nation-wide Crouse Family Reunion back in
North Carolina (where it all started) or a more central location. I will start
collecting this information and use this site to organize such an event.
I am always open to suggestions to improve the website and constantly looking for
